Trakyanet utilizes a content and data management system developed specifically for its own needs to manage diverse content types, a multilingual publishing structure, and regional data relationships within a unified framework. The system undergoes continuous development to ensure that distinct sections—such as cities, statistics, history, tourism, accommodation, institutions, news, and multimedia—operate in an organized, efficient, and sustainable manner within this shared structure.
About the System
Trakyanet's content structure has a more comprehensive data relationship than that of a conventional website. Different types of data, ranging from cities to districts, towns, villages and neighbourhoods; from historical content to tourism information, statistics, accommodation establishments, news and multimedia archives, are managed in relation to one another.
For this reason, a content and data management structure tailored specifically to Trakyanet's needs has been developed. The system is designed not only to publish content, but also to establish relationships between different content types, preserve regional hierarchies, manage different publication languages and enable the same data to be used appropriately across different sections of the site.
The Trakyanet System is continuously developed and reorganised in line with emerging needs. The ability to add new sections, improve existing sections and manage large amounts of content under common rules are among the system's main objectives.
Core Features
- Multilingual Content Management
- Trakyanet's Turkish, English, Bulgarian and Greek publications are managed within the same content structure. Separate content can be prepared for each language, and information appropriate to the visitor's selected publication language can be presented.
- Regional Data Structure
- The relationships between cities in different countries within Thrace and their associated settlements are defined hierarchically within the system. This makes it possible to manage content related to different settlement types such as cities, districts, towns, villages and neighbourhoods within a common structure.
- Related Content System
- Information about a settlement or subject is not limited to a single page. Relevant tourism locations, accommodation establishments, institutions, news, photographs, videos, statistics and other content can be linked to one another where necessary.
- Statistics and Data Management
- Specialised data structures are used so that statistical data obtained from different institutions and sources can be organised by year, region and subject and presented in comparative tables and charts.
- Multimedia Management
- Photographs, videos, historical documents, maps and similar multimedia materials can be associated with content and used on the relevant pages.
- Dynamic Page Structure
- A significant part of the site's sections does not consist of independently created static pages, but of structures generated dynamically by evaluating content and the relationships between different pieces of data.
- Common Content Standards
- Common rules are used wherever possible in sections with similar structures. This makes the addition of new content, the updating of existing content and the coordinated operation of different sections more organised.
Development Approach
The Trakyanet System is a custom structure that is continuously developed in line with the site's needs. Development work focuses not only on adding new features, but also on simplifying the existing system, reducing repetitive processes, preserving data integrity, improving performance and creating a sustainable structure for the long term.
The aim is for the system to operate as closely as possible according to Trakyanet's own requirements. For this reason, site-specific software and data processing methods are developed for functions that cannot be adequately met by ready-made solutions.
Artificial intelligence-assisted tools are also used during certain stages of development and content production. These tools are used particularly as assistants in code development, error detection, text editing, data preparation and language-related work. Final decisions and implementations are determined directly according to Trakyanet's needs.
For security reasons, details regarding the software components used, server structure, system architecture and similar technical information are not made publicly available.
Versioning System
Version numbers in the Trakyanet System are determined according to the scope of development. Minor improvements and corrections that do not alter the existing structure are expressed with sub-version numbers, while developments involving comprehensive changes to the system's core operation or architecture are expressed with new major version numbers.
Trakyanet System Version History
| Version 2.1 | Various improvements were made to the existing system structure. Minor errors, deficiencies and typographical issues that were identified were resolved, and work was carried out to improve compatibility, stability and performance. |
| Version 2.0 | The core structure of the system was comprehensively reviewed and major sections were redeveloped. Trakyanet-specific structures were created for various processes that had previously been handled through temporary solutions. |
| Some subsections were transformed into independent main sections and the content organisation was reorganised. | |
| Common operating standards were established for sections with similar hierarchical structures, and page structures were unified wherever possible. | |
| Artificial intelligence-assisted tools began to be used more extensively in development, content preparation and review processes. | |
| Version 1.1 | English, Bulgarian and Greek publication languages were added alongside Turkish. The system and content structure were expanded to support publication in four languages, and content presentation according to the visitor's language preference was introduced. |
| Various identified issues were resolved, and improvements were made to the system's security, stability and usability. | |
| Version 1.0 | The first published version of the Trakyanet System. |
