Istanbul Travel
With the establishment of Istanbul Seyahat by Abit Tiris in 1940, the company embarked on its long-lasting journey in the road passenger transportation sector by launching its first bus services from Samsun Carsamba to Giresun Alucra. In 1975, Talip Tiris, who succeeded his father Abit Tiris as the head of the company, began operating the Istanbul - Corlu route in the Thrace region following the establishment of the Istanbul Anatolian Bus Terminal. During the same period, the company expanded into international routes by organizing trips to various European countries. Under the leadership of Selami Tiris, the third generation to take over the management, the company grew by prioritizing passenger safety and service quality. It began offering services to the coastal regions of Turkey, including significant parts of the Mediterranean, Aegean, and Black Sea regions, with a primary focus on the Thrace area. In 2002, as part of its efforts to align with sectoral developments, the company underwent a corporate transformation and adopted the name Istanbul Seyahat Turizm Ticaret A.S. Selami Tiris was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Today, the company is among the leading firms in the road transportation sector. In 2005, it expanded its activities in the tourism field by establishing **STT ISTANBUL TRAVEL**. As an authorized agent of ETS Tur and a provider of domestic and international flight tickets, the company opened numerous sales offices in Istanbul and the Thrace region to offer new services for tour and flight ticket sales. In 2008, it started operating routes to Bulgaria’s Burgas, Varna, and Shumen regions, extending its service quality, experience, and reliability from domestic operations to regular services in Bulgaria. Acting with the principle of "Our passenger is our guest," Istanbul Seyahat aims to provide ever-improving service by combining quality, safety, and punctuality in travel and tourism operations. As of today, Istanbul Seyahat A.S continues to innovate in the sector, serving with 250 online ticket sales offices and nearly 750 employees nationwide.
