The district is the last important point of the dense industrial zone on the D-100 Highway axis in Thrace. It is a settlement with intensive industrial production, where the production sites of companies mostly based in Istanbul are located, important pharmaceutical companies make production and most of the employees are employed in the industry. With its relatively more developed social life, shopping centers and job opportunities, it also causes the people in the surrounding areas to migrate to Luleburgaz. It can easily be said that Luleburgaz is the second center of the province after the center of Kirklareli.
Luleburgaz, due to its dense industry, consists of the majority of its population working in the industry. It also has a cosmopolitan structure because it is a place where people from different regions of Anatolia live.
A large portion of the workers coming to the region from Thrace are people who have difficulty making a living from agriculture and are transported to this nearby industrial zone by shuttles. There is heavy traffic when service vehicles pass.
The city's football team, Luleburgaz Spor, is one of the most successful sports teams in the region. In Turkey, where football is the most important sports activity, Luleburgaz Spor is the team that has earned the right to play in the top league among regional teams.
The development of Luleburgaz will gain momentum with the development of its current characteristics of being a central settlement and industrial area. It depends on the creation and continuation of the city infrastructure and urban culture.
Luleburgaz is located in the south of Kirklareli Province, and is surrounded by the Saray and Ergene districts of Tekirdag Province to the east, the Babaeski district to the west, the Pinarhisar district to the north, and the Hayrabolu and Muratli districts of Tekirdag Province to the south.
The district center, the largest settlement in Kirklareli Province, has an elevation of (30) meters above sea level.
The climate is generally hot and dry in summers and rainy and cold in winters. It is generally affected by cold air currents from the Balkans in winter.
The population growth rate is much higher than the country average, and the increase is generally due to intense migration from other regions and villages to the city.
