Work on the Kirklareli Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) began in 1977. Included in the investment program in 1990, the final location of the OSB was determined in 1993 as the Duzyol area of Kizilcikdere Village, 14 km from the city center.

With the approval of the Prime Ministry, an area of 93 hectares and 4,836 square meters was expropriated in 1994 and registered in the land registry in the name of the Provincial Special Administration in 1995. The Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) was established jointly by the Kirklareli Provincial Special Administration (51%), Kirklareli Municipality (33%), and Kirklareli Chamber of Commerce and Industry (16%).

Due to high demand, the OSB area was expanded to 400 hectares in 1997. In accordance with the Organized Industrial Zones Law and Implementing Regulation that came into force in 2000 and 2002, the management structure was updated, and in 2003, with the approval of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Kirklareli OSB gained legal personality.

It has quick access via highways connecting to Istanbul, Tekirdag, and Edirne. It is located close to railway lines opening to Europe.

The high-pressure natural gas pipeline is strategically located 160 km from Istanbul Airport, 115 km from Tekirdag Asyaport, 185 km from Ambarli Port, and 130 km from Burgas Port. It is 96 km from Kapikule Border Gate and 50 km from Derekoy Border Gate.

The high-pressure natural gas pipeline has an annual usage capacity of 262,800,000 cubic meters. It provides uninterrupted energy support of 150 MW with modern transformer substations.
