Subaşı - Subasi - Субаши - Σουμπασή
Subasi is a town in the Meric district of Edirne province. The arrival of the Pomaks, who make up the town's population, in Turkey gained intensity after the 1878 Ottoman-Russian war and with subsequent migrations in the following years. In Subasi Town, settlement rights were granted on Thursday, June 12, 1893, by Ahmet Izzet Pasha, allowing the right to settle here.
