Albaraka Turk Participation Bank was established in 1984, pioneering interest-free banking in Tuürkiye, and began active operations in 1985. It conducts its activities in Turkiye in accordance with Banking Law No. 5411 as a participation bank founded under the leadership of Albaraka Group B.S.C.(c)—one of the Middle East's prominent capital groups—the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), and a domestic industrial group that has served the Turkish economy for over half a century.
